‘Extra’ Defends Billy Bush After Audio Leak Of Sexual Remark About Kendall Jenner

Billy Bush was caught on camera making a sexual remark about Kendall Jenner during a recent Extra taping, some years after his infamous obscene conversation with Donald Trump for Access Hollywood.

The Daily Beast said on Friday that it received audio from an Extra recording from October 31 in which Bush made fun of Jenner’s Toy Story-inspired Halloween costume with staff members. He recalls, “Kendall goes as Jessie and, trust me, there were a lot of woodies,” after asking someone for the name of her character and learning that she was dressed as Jessie the cowgirl.

The remark was left out of the episode that aired on Halloween. It’s going to be difficult to ever again watch Toy Story in the same manner, the Extra host said in reference to Jenner’s costume in the episode’s closing scene.

Extra’s producer, Warner Bros. Television’s Telepictures, issued the following comment to Deadline: “Like many kinds of entertainment industry production, the show’s creative process offers the flexibility to test new jokes and banter. In the end, some content is eliminated, including statements that would be deemed inappropriate for broadcast television.

Bush had already been captured on camera acting similarly in a similar circumstance. Just a few weeks before the 2016 election, tape from a 2005 conversation between Bush and Trump—the GOP nominee at the time of the leak—about groping women leaked while Bush was the anchor for NBC’s Today.

Trump is heard saying in the recording, “I don’t even wait. And after you become a star, women allow you to do it. Anything is possible. Pick them up by the pussy. At the time of the call, Bush was employed by Access Hollywood. He can be heard saying, “Whatever you want.”

The audio leak led to Bush’s suspension from Today and eventual termination. Soon after the incident, he apologised and stated: “Obviously, I’m embarrassed and humiliated. Although it’s not an excuse, this occurred 11 years ago when I was younger, less experienced, and made a mistake by joining in. I’m sorry a lot. In 2019, he joined Extra.
